The Robotics & AI Global Showcase 2026 began with networking and registration, giving attendees an opportunity to connect with founders, investors, global delegates, trade representatives, and technology leaders before the formal program began.

Keynote Address: Computing for the Industrialization of Outer Space
The program featured a keynote address by Thomas Coughlin, President of Coughlin Associates, focused on “Storage and Memory Technologies for the Industrialization of Outer Space.”
The session explored how next-generation storage and memory technologies could support sustainable industrial operations beyond Earth, with particular attention to advanced computing, data storage, resilient memory systems, autonomous robotics, and the emerging space economy.
The topic expanded the robotics conversation beyond today’s factories and cities.
As autonomous systems become increasingly capable, their effectiveness will depend not only on AI models and robotic hardware, but also on the underlying computing and data infrastructure that allows those systems to function in demanding environments.

As Shermie Zhang, Co-Founder of Circuit Launch, noted: “Anything you can standardize means you can copy and paste very easily.” She also emphasized that “it’s that last 5% that’s really going to take your 80% of the effort,” underscoring the operational challenges companies face when moving from prototypes and pilots to scalable, manufacturable products. The showcase examined that ecosystem—from the capital and infrastructure required to scale new technologies to the partnerships and workforce development needed to deploy them responsibly.
